Prerequisite: Successful completion of Pistol Craft 301: Advanced Handgun Tactics
Vehicles are one of the most common real-world environments — and one of the most overlooked in training. Pistol Craft 302 addresses that directly, using the NW Precision Training range car as a structured platform to apply advanced pistol skills where the environment dictates the fight.
Students arriving from Pistol Craft 301 already know how to draw, move, reload, and work from cover. This course takes those skills and puts them inside — and around — a vehicle. The vehicle platform changes everything: angles tighten, movement is restricted, and muzzle discipline becomes the non-negotiable constant. Performance here is measured through control, problem-solving, and disciplined execution under the specific demands of a vehicle environment.
Student Outcomes:
Draw and engage targets from inside a vehicle with proper technique and muzzle awareness
Exit a vehicle under control and transition into an engagement
Employ vehicle structures effectively as cover and concealment
Shoot accurately from unconventional positions dictated by the vehicle environment
Manage angles, deflection, and environmental constraints specific to vehicle engagements
Maintain muzzle discipline and situational awareness in confined spaces
Demonstrate safe, controlled execution under the restricted conditions of a vehicle platform
Equipment Needs:
Open mind, teachable spirit, positive attitude, and a mindset of safety
Handgun (semi-automatic)
200 rounds of factory ammunition
Holster covering trigger guard and with retention
Sturdy belt to support holster use
Long pants and closed-toed shoes
Precision Training provides hearing and eye protection
Personal hearing protection must be amplified
